The Ionic clearly has a MASSIVE underlying fault, which renders it basically useless once the fault occurs.
Is this going to be the same as the strap issue on the Surge device whereby Fitbit keep rolling them out with the known fault?
If you read this post before buying an Ionic I suggest researching the Bluetooth synchronisation issues.
A good product initially and I was starting to enjoy it as an upgrade to the Blaze with added features like the GPS and Wallet (if that actually worked for common banks in the UK).
It seems as thought Fitbit are shipping out another known faulty product - I hope this is resolved soon and the replacement works longer than two weeks I have owned this one.
PS - yes, I have tried all the work arounds including trying to setup on other devices, factory resets, clearing caches, reinstalling the app etc. etc.

I'm having the same issue. Started a few weeks ago. I keep trying all the work arounds. Always end up unpairing from my galaxy s8 and then it takes a fair few attempts to get it to pair again. Then it works for a few days and then it happens again. Each time the amount of time it works gets shorter. I redid it last night and already it's stopped syncing.

Same here with my Note 3. They will probably get it figured out, but kind of frustrating until they do .

Same here. I'm tremendously frustrated. I feel duped, and my husband feels like crap because he bought me the device as a gift. Now it's a glorified watch. Completely useless.
Basically, it won't sync to my phone. I cannot do the firmware update either, because it will get caught in an endless loop of failed attempts.
When I plug into the computer, it tells me bluetooth is off, which is not, since it still syncs to my headphones. I will attempt a full reset, if I can find the **ahem** article that tells me how to do this.
I am tremendously disappointed in fitbit. Their customer service seems nonexistent, since none of these questions in the forums seem to get any sort of solution or answer.
