Hi,
I just got my new Ionic day before. Tried setting it up with the latest FitBit App on my Pixel 2, faced multiple problems and could not set it up. Finally did a factory reset on the Ionic and started the set up once again yesterday. Was finally able to set it up. However after that when I checked sometime later I realized that the Ionic was not Syncing with the app. Tried turning off the phone and restarting the Ionic, turning blue tooth off and on and everything else possible however it refuses to sync.
Realized from the Forums that even though both Ionic and Pixel 2 have been in the market for some time now, FitBit still doesn't list Pixel 2 among it's list of supported devices. Very surprising but that's that.
The tried syncing the Ionic with the FitBit app on windows 10. That too doesn't work. Again tried everything from un-pairing & pairing again to restarting the Ionic etc. Nothing works.
By the way I have also tried changing Bluetooth from AVRCP 1.4 to 1.6 by going into the developer options on my Pixel 2 as recommended in one of the Forums here. That too does not work.
What also happens is that trying to sync at times the Ionic turns off and then on again by itself at times and at times it just turns off.
So my Ionic does not sync with Pixel 2 Or Windows 10. Help is giving standard stock replies. Am suspecting it's a problem with the Ionic and not the Pixel as in that case it should have worked with the windows 10 app. So what does one do now? Return the device and ask for a refund? Or is there is solution to this available or expected soon?
Can someone please help?
Thanks

Got fed up with the stock response from FitBit support. They are not offering any solution. They say "Although we have no specific date to share on when this phone will be fully compatible, rest assured our engineers are continually working to make the Fitbit app compatible with an ever-growing list of mobile devices. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices and you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added." And I noticed from other posts on Forums that they have been saying the same thing to others since a long time now. Can't just keep waiting and hoping that they will someday add the Pixel 2 as a compatible device and sort the sync issues.
Have returned the watch for a refund.
