Ionic Workout Summary

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When recording a workout using my Surge, it used to give me a summary (in Weekly Exercises) which noted Calories burned, Average Heart Rate, Total Time.

But now I have started using my Ionic it gives me a different summary which instead notes Average Heart Rate, Distance and Calories burned. The Calories burned is only ever listed as "-" and the distance is pretty useless and irrelevant given its a static workout.

Is there any way to change the summary back to how it was recorded when I used my Surge?

@Th0ma5 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for using the Exercise feature on your Ionic. Are you still experiencing this?

What kind of exercise are you recording? Is this happening with every type of exercise you are recording?

Have you checked the exercise settings by tapping the gear icon on the corner of the Ionic's screen when you select an exercise? What information is it showing there?

Are you still seeing the dashes on your calories burned? This is a bug. However, you can still view your calories burned by going in to the exercise summary and selecting "calories".

The same thing shows up In my workout summary list in the app.  When I specifically track workout sessions such as yoga, workout, weights, areobics, circuit training... etc, it shows stats for distance workouts such as walking, running or hiking, etc. this is useless as you’re basically staying in one spot! So to get simple details such as calorie burn, you have to open and view each workout individually.

And yes, I’ve selected the correct workout options when tracking from my ionic.

This used to be the same when the Blaze first came out, until it finally got fixed. I’ve had my ionic for over five months and it’s still the same. I’m very disappointed that it still hasn’t been noticed/resolved.

Dont they use use their own watches?

@SantiR

Hi

Yes I'm still experiencing the issue.

When I record a bike ride with my Ionic it is recording it correctly, as it was when I was using my Surge.

The Exercise settings on the watch don't help.

I am still seeing a "-" in Calories burned. I would rather it told me on the summary screen rather than having to go in to the exercise to see calories burned?

This is how the Surge showed my Workouts:

This is how the Ionic records a Workout:

Why has it changed and how can I change it back?

Thanks

@Tracybug

You would think this kind of thing would come up in testing the new watches, right?

And it's been out months so I'm not sure why they haven't addressed the issue. Why would we need to know "distance" during a static workout?! Smiley LOL

My FitBit Surge used to show the correct summary - as you can see from my screenshots - but it seems they've gone backward with the new Ionic?

hmm

@Tracybug Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting this. Thanks for the screen shots too @Th0ma5

Our team has received the feedback from everyone in this thread and others and is working to investigate these reports further. I will share updates from the team when I hear them.

Thanks for your reports and understanding. In the meantime, I recommend going in to the exercise summary and selecting "calories" to view your calories burned. You can also check this thread which is about the distance showing on activities that doesn't requires it.

Please stay tuned for updates. Thanks for your patience.

See you around! Smiley Happy

Ok wel mine is a little different than @Th0ma5. It shows pace and distance for workouts instead of heart rate and time

@SantiR Why hasn't this been sorted yet? You have just issued a huge update for my Ionic which took about 2 hours and still this isn't fixed? Any update?
