Ionic battery draining fast - Bluetooth interference?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought an Ionic in March 2018. The screen died end of November 2018 and Fitbit sent me a replacement Ionic in December 2018 (about 1 month ago).

I’ve noticed on 2 occasions that the replacement Fitbit’s battery will drain extremely fast - today, from 48% to 12% in 2 hours. And Fitbit didn’t send me the email about low battery either time the battery dropped so fast.

I’m wondering if the draining fast is due to me using a Bluetooth Bose speaker while also wearing the Ionic. I was using the speaker on both occasions when the battery drained super fast. Is it possible the Ionic is connecting to the speaker? Any suggestions to keep the battery from draining so fast?

Welcome on board @valpal95! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience with your Ionic, nice way to go!

If the battery is draining too quickly and you're having difficulties charging your tracker, I'd recommend taking a look at the following help articles:

Afterwards, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Ionic and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device" for iOS and "Unpair" for Android.

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device and you should be able to sync properly.

I don't think that the battery issues are related to the connectivity with  your Bluetooth speakers but let's keep an eye on it after you try those steps.
