Ionic calorie count

According to my Ionic watch I have only burned 230 calories today! Strange thing is the number keeps fluctuating up and down instead of just increasing! Normally by this point in the day I have burned 2000 or so calories! Any ideas to why this is happening?? Is this a setting I need to change?

A warm welcome to the Community @kdavm82! Thanks for the details that you've mentioned. It's pretty weird that your calories aren't just increasing throughout the day.

Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the rate at which you burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity. Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day and is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: sex, age, height, and weight.

The calorie burn estimate that Fitbit provides takes into account your BMR, the activity recorded by your tracker, and any activities you log manually.

I would like you to restart your Ionic and then continue monitoring the data that you've getting. If you're still seeing the same calorie data fluctuating then provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted.
