Was on the phone with tech support twice today trying to get my Ionic and phone to sync. After 40 min. each time the tech stated that the Galaxy Note 8 is not compatible with the Ionic Fitbit. You would think that the Ionic would be compatible with a newer phone. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or know if there is a software update coming our soon for this? I am able to connect and sync every once in a while.

It takes time to test and add new phones to the list. You will just have to keep checking the list

Can you set it up on a computer in the mean time?

@Linderca that is strange. When I go and check the Supported Devices List the Galaxy Note 8.0 is listed (towards the bottom of the list) - is this the phone you have? If it is it should work.

The note 8.0 is the tablet not phone. Thanks though

It should still be listed on the compatible devices.

I am with you! I have been a loyal FB customer for 6 years and keep buying their latest product, as well as the latest phones. Ism ery disappointed that my Note 8 does not proerly sync. I have spent time with customer service and there are no solutions at this time! I feel FB should take care of the products they have in their line and quit adding new ones until they can fully support all features of current models. In a way, I feel they produce false advertising!

The compatibility list should clearly differentiate between phone and table -- when I looked today it only showed one listing for the samsung galaxy note 8 (no indication of phone or tablet)
