My Ionic was having some trouble last week. It wouldn't track my heart rate, so I tried a hard reset which did not solve the issue. Then I went ahead and did a factory reset, but it still did not solve my issue. At some point, it randomly started working again, I was really happy but it did not last very long. Within a day my Fitbit's display started flickering. I tried resetting it again hoping to fix it. It was working, but then it just completely died on me. I went through a lot of posts on the community page(i was surprised to see so many people encounter this same problem, especially in the period - less than 2 years), trying every method they said. I tried charging it with a wall charger for a whole night, with my laptop for the whole day and nothing. It's just a paperweight now. I actually liked my Ionic although many had opposing reviews about it. I just wish it lasted longer than a year and a few months.

they sent me a replacement less than 2 months ago. I noticed recently that the battery was dying way too quickly the last couple weeks. In less than 15 hours it went from 40% to dead and it will not come back with either one of my chargers

Hold left button and bottom right button down at the same time for several seconds. (I found this on someone else's comments.) Mine was doing the same thing and this fixed it.

Thank you for your reply. I did the left button and bottom-right button (hard reset) and all three buttons (factory reset) already, multiple times. I think it may have turned on once because I've been doing this all week. But it's been dead for the most part. Is yours working fine now?

Glad yours is working! Unfortunately, mine still does not, and it seems that a lot of Ionic users are facing the same problem. It's so disappointing:(

I’ve had 2 Fitbit ionic that have done this now. Seems to be a common problem.
not being able to replace a battery is a fatal flaw in my opinion

Had the same issue. Started acting up about 2 weeks ago. Had to do a hard reset and thought it was fixed. That was until the other night. Went black and will not turn on. Tried doing the hard reset and nothing. Has been sitting on the charger for days.
Had an issue with 2 Versas that I have people as gifts. Both of them under a year old and same exact thing. Investing in 3 Fitbits is a lot and all the company offers is 25% off another one! So disappointed with this company.

Exact same thing! It had been giving me trouble for a week. Had a fitbit 'charge HR', then a fitbit 'blaze', both of which had some issues within the first year. Thankfully, they did offer me a replacement/discount on a new one. Hoping that the newer model would be better, i paid and bought it. Now i feel scammed. This is my third Fitbit, and if this doesn't get fixed, it will be the last one.

Yeah this happened to my latest ionic twice in the last six months, complete with different charge cords, different plugs into different devices, every outlet at home and work, nothing works for a couple weeks, followed by starting to work again randomly. I’ve had an ionic Since 2016 and if I have to replace the current dead one it will be my fourth, and seventh/eighth strap (I go thru both bc they always warp, disintegrate, then fall off). The ionic is pretty much disposable which is really criminal considering the cost. My partner has a comparably priced smartwatch from a different company geared more toward triathletes (or I’d have one of those) and has been wearing the exact same device with the original band 24/7 for five years in a row, no problems. So I’m now weighing starting over w a totally different company and new app w unknown functions and learning curve, etc., vs. dropping another $250 on something I really like that I’ll have to throw out in about 18 months. I’m really sad, but I like the ionic functions, how it tracks sleep and other health stats, a pretty nice app, etc., so I’ll prob end up getting another one to preserve my data and profile. Btw, I work in an office and hike on weekends, I’m not doing extreme damaging sports or anything. I might just pull the plug and go w a different company until they do a redesign. Sigh.

Me too, I’ve tried all combinations of all buttons for varying times. I’m getting calluses on my thumbs and fingers but no joy 😞
