Ionic connectivity inconveniences

Hi,

my ionic is showing as “connected” on the phone app but it’s not syncing. Last sync was 12 July. I don’t want to remove the ionic from the app as I did a big workout this morning and don’t want to lose that data . I haven’t had this issue before so can’t understand why it won’t sync, even when I try to activate the “sync now” feature on the app.

Any idea what’s causing the issue ?

thanks

I've found and fixed the issue my end. Seems there was a failed update (for the device, not the app) a while ago that wouldn't go through. If you update the app tells you it's failed and that you need to retry. Like you'd expect, after hitting retry several times I gave up. The trick is not to hit retry, and not to close the app or the screen. The app has no idea what it's talking about.

Let the fitbit continue (on the retry screen) for about another 30 minutes after it fails, and the update goes through (took an hour and a half in total for me, so make sure it's charging!).

Once this update goes through, it fixed itself instantly. Now it's fully syncing again.
