Ionic counting steps non stop when charging

My Ionic has gone hay wire! It suddenly has thebstep counter going constantly! While it's charging it's adding thousands of steps. While sleeping it added over 40k steps. The counter just keeps going. I've shut down numerous times, didna factory reset, and am running out of ideas. The constant step counting is killing the battery and I am not walking that many steps! Please help.

As it hasnt responded to the restarts or factory reset you will need to contact Support (link in my signature)
