Ionic died.

Hello, I purchased a fitbit ionic 18 months ago. Still have the receipt.

The battery never lasted the entire day from the day of purchas (would go flat after 12h)

After about a month if would barely last a 2h run.

After a few months it stopped charging altogether and I haven't used it since.

Great purchase that one.

I am now back running and would like to get it repaired so I can use it.

How can I go about getting it fixed?

It sounds like the fit-bit ionic battery dying is extremely common.

Is it common for it to come with a dud battery from the start?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi @chrus1987  the warranty is 12 months in the US and 24 months in some European countries, longer if you purchased an extended warranty. There is no repair for these devices, only replacement. Did you tell customer support it wasn't working when it was still in the warranty period? Not sure there is much you can do now with so much time having passed.

Apparently this was deemed to be against Australian law under the
Australian consumer Law consumer guarantees. Fitbit increased the
Australian warrantee period to minimum 2 years. Do you know who I would
contact?
