Earlier today I was having sync issues with my Fitbit. I tried deleting the app and adding it back, restarting my phone, and restarting my Fitbit. After restarting my Fitbit, I was able to get the watch to sync. Now I have another problem. Now the Fitbit screen fades to black. I’ve tried restarting my watch twice and wound up with the same result. I’ve had the watch for a year now and haven’t had any major problems until now.

Your update is appreciated @Jth1988.
Thanks for trying the steps that were shared on my previous post. Since the restart process and changing the clock face didn't work, please try our factory reset following the next steps:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
Let me know if the issue persists.

Hello @Jth1988, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. If you haven't already done so and because the restart process didn't work, please try changing the clock face of your Ionic following the steps that are specified on: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.
I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

I changed the clock face and now it Looks faded. Also my watch and app are not syncing together again. I have the correct amount of steps on my watch, but the app won’t sync.

Thanks for your reply @Jth1988.
If your device is now not turning on, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is it completely unresponsive? In the meantime I receive your answer, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.
Looking forward to your reply.

My ionic faded and is not readable any longer. Tried to do the three-button option, other clockface, did not work. Even when the logo appears after restart, it is very weak and has a low blue light frame at the edges. Then, the display is hardly readable (too weak for a photo). It says 2% load while the app says "fully loaded" or before "72% loaded". Brightness adjustment, before it went this dark, also did not work.
My assumption is that the LCD has lost its power to restore.
Connection to the app and everything else works, but without a working display, it's just a dead weight.
Let me add that I am very disappointed. Is this a built-in and planned obsolescence to force you to buy a new one?

I haven’t heard anything from Fitbit in awhile. Guess they gave up on me. I ended up switching over to Garmin because I’m tired of Fitbit. I’m definitely not disappointed with the switch.
