Ionic display not working

My ionic started to glitch out of nowhere after this new update was installed. I was simply studying for a graduate exam all day, went down to my car to grab something, and my watch screen looked to be foggy white in the center. I saw several posts similar to mine complaining about the same issue ironically after an update, but that customer service couldn’t do much to help besides offer a small discount. I went ahead and followed the instructions to shut down the watch, change the clock face, and charge it. I went to attempt a factory reset, but I when I turned it back on it went crazy and is now so dark/almost black that it’s impossible to see where the setting app is to do the factory shut down. I’m not sure how to insert a picture or video of what happened when I restarted it. I have an iPhone that is synced to this watch which the app tells me it is still on, so I know it’s not dead. I’d love some help or advice on what I should do. I’m also just frustrated hearing other people complain about the same issue with their Fitbit watch (which none of them were able to solve) because I would have thought for the price of this watch that would last much longer than it has.
