Ionic exercise gps constantly searches

The ionic was working fine, up until around 1/23/19. I use exercise for biking it recorded the route, miles and avg. speed. Now it just flashes searching, and never connects. I am in Florida where it is flat with no high buildings. I tried a factory reset, I called customer support 3 times with no resolution other than they will send me a coupon to buy a new one. This was working fine until I did the app update. Any other things I can try will be appreciated.

One thing is sure. You are not crazy.

 This was taken on 26th Jan so it is similar timeframe. GPS didn't connect until end of activity which took 1hr30m. I am not sure whether it is related with firmware though as it was quite a while since I updated to see the issue. Another episode happened exactly week later. Both were Running activities.

I have the exact same issue!

The GPS loses connection at the middle of my runs and searching for signal until the end of my race.

If I start a new exercise, the GPS is connected immediately!

Always under clear sky.

This behavior makes my Ionic total useless...

Same issue. I’m in Florida, no buildings, trees, maoutains, etc. GPS Worked on 2/25/19 without issue. Went for 6 mile run 6/1 and has not connected since. Tried multiple times from multiple locations. Did everything ever blog has recommended, no luck. On with support asking for replacement watch.

Same issue. Also live in Florida. Worked until 2/25. Didn’t on my next run, 6/1. Tried everything, nothing works

Mine went off warranty in Dec. 2018 and now just continues to search for GPS. Support said they will send out a 40% off coupon, I told them to keep it and I’ve been telling everyone I know not to buy Fitbit. I let it search for an 1;45 minutes on a 16 mile bike ride. Now I use “map my ride” on my phone and it works great.
