I got the notice, and started the update, just like every other update.
After a long while (about 20 minutes) it said it failed. I tried several more times with the same results - I've tried it after restarting the phone, restarting blutooth, using wifi, using 4G, nothing works.
Now, the screen has the diamond logo on for a few seconds, then it goes dark for a while, then repeats, endlessly.
I have tried every version of "Hard Rest" I could find (and there are a LOT of versions out there! Some say hold all 3, then let go of the top button, some say the bottom button, etc. No love on any of them.
I noticed there appears to be a hardware reset hole where the band attaches, although pushing in a paper clip doesn't appear to have any effect.
I'm at the end of my rope, and if I can't get this fixed, my wife is liable to fillet me the next time I try to go to sleep (only half joking!). I need to reset this, and I no longer care about data loss, as long as I can recover it. Please help!
