My ionic keeps looking like it is downloading an update and then it locks my screen. It is freezing up a lot and not counting all my steps.

Welcome on board @KALilly, it's nice to see you around the forums! Hmmm... this is very strange. In order to sort this out, I'd like to suggest you to restart your Ionic by following these steps;

I tried both suggestions and it is still doing the same thing. It’s frustrating to have to keep entering my code so it will count my steps. Plus when it does this, I do not get my hourly notices to get my 250 steps.

I am having the same issues with my ionic It has just started to freeze, the screen will lock. Will turn back on after a little bit and it says that it’s processing. It will work fine for a little bit and then freezes again . I have tried restarting it but it has not helped. What else can I do?

- Let go of the buttons.
- If your Fitbit Ionic doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

I tried the shut down and turned off and it worked better for a few days and it started to lock up again. I took it off for a while and I tried to charge it today and now it will not come on at all. I have not even had this for a year. Very upsetting.
