Ionic is not finding Bluetooth device or syncing with I Phone 8+

Just upgraded to iPhone 8+ and the Ionic cannot find it as a Bluetooth device or sync with it.  I have followed all of the help instructions & even reloaded the app:

Make sure all other devices with all-day sync are not within Bluetooth range of the Ionic. If all devices are not in range, try a restart of the Ionic(holding the left and bottom right buttons until the Fitbit logo shows.

I was able to finally install the update that enabled me to synch to the Bluetooth on my device. Thx.
