Ionic keeps searching for GPS

I've seen this problem several times on this board, but no solutions. My Fitbit suddenly seems to lose contact with GPS and keeps searching. In places where I have used it numerous times without problem, so no buildings etc. in the way. On clear days as well as cloudy. I have used my Fitbit successfully since Dec 2018 with no other problems. I tried rebooting, also switching it off and on again. What else could I try?
