My Ionic has been working just fine for the last few months until yesterday. I noticed that the time was a few minutes off, then progressively got worse. I synced my Fitbit, and the time caught up. Today, it was off again, and wouldn't sync. I was able to fix it, but now it's off again. I'm noticing that the WiFi on my Fitbit says that it's off. How do I stop that from happening?
Here's what I've done:
1. Restarted my Fitbit.
2. Restarted my app.
3. Checked my home WiFi settings. (They haven't changed...ever.)
4. Made sure bluetooth was off on other devices.
5. Forgotten the Ionic on my bluetooth menus.
6. Factory reset my Fitbit. (took almost 3 hours to finally get it to hook up) Thought this fixed it...but it didn't.
7. Deleted and reinstalled app.
Any other tricks, or should I give up on my Ionic and switch to Samsung?

Hello @Rawrbyn thanks for bringing this matter to my attention, it's nice to see you again participating here in the forums.
First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your device prior to posting. Seems odd that your device is losing time and even more because of the fact that your Fitbit use your mobile device information to display the time. To better assist you, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using? When was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? I recommend you to change the clock face of your Ionic and let me know how it goes. To do so, you can follow the steps from our help article: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. Furthermore, please try syncing your Fitbit using mobile data instead of WiFi connection.
I'll be here waiting for your answers. Let me know if you have any additional questions too.

I appreciate you getting back to me!
My husband bought this Ionic for me back in April, when my other Ionic shut completely down. I have had no issues with this until Friday, July 5th. I tried to pair my Ionic to my iPhone so I could control the music, and it wouldn't work. A few hours later, I noticrd that the time was off. I synced it with my iPhone 6s, and the time caught back up. About 20 minutes later, I noticed that it was 5 minutes off again. When I got home, I put my Ionic on the charger, and restarted it. It performed a sync and was fine. Yesterday(July 6th,) I began having issues with it syncing. My phone couldn't find it. I also noticed that when I went to the settings on my watch, it said that the WiFi was off. I went through all of the steps to turn the wifi on, even going as far as to make sure my router firmware was up to date. After a few hours of trying to set my watch back up, the time was okay....for a few minutes. Today, my watch is off by an hour and won't sync at all. I can't change the watch face if I can't sync.

You're welcome @Rawrbyn I appreciate your prompt reply and the information that was shared.
I'd like to let you know that the time is being affected due to the syncing difficulties, reason why when you successfully synced your Fitbit with your iPhone 6s the issue was resolved. That said, since this is being affected due to syncing, I recommend you to check that the Fitbit app, your mobile device and Fitbit are up to date. After confirming such details, please check our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes. You already tried some of the troubleshooting steps that are specified there, however, the specific order of them are important.
Looking forward to your reply. I'll be here if you need anything else.

Yep, I followed all of those steps. I made sure that I did everything as it was lined out on the Fitbit page. I've even made sure that my devices are up to date on their software. Still can't sync.

Thanks for your reply @Rawrbyn.
Did you already try the syncing procedure with another compatible mobile device or with your computer? This way, we'll be able to determine if there's a missing requirement on your iPhone 6s that's preventing your Fitbit to sync. Such requirements are specified on: How do Fitbit devices sync their data? if you want to take a look to them.
Don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.

Yes. My iPhone is strictly used for music. I have a LG Stylo2 that I use as my main phone. It won't sync to that, either. I make sure that I have the bluetooth off on the other device before I try syncing.

My watch is now 1 hour and 30 minutes behind. Nothing is working. 😞

My watch randomly synced today, and the time updated. It was on the charger at that time. Now, it is 3 minutes behind and won't sync.

It's a pleasure to continue assisting you today @Rawrbyn.
Let me share with you that the LG Stylo2 is not currently supported with our products and services, therefore, you may experience certain connection difficulties. That said, can you please try syncing your Ionic with another compatible device or with your computer? Please check: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker? for more information. Please try the syncing process off the charging cable and on it so we can verity why it synced when it was charging.
I'll be around.

I have tried it with my computer and my iPhone 6s, as previously mentioned. The point of mentioning my Stylo2 was that I had been able to sync it before, and now I can't. I mainly use my iPhone 6S to sync it, unless for some reason I'm not near it. I have had no issues with syncing it until Friday. I tried syncing my watch with my iPhone to control my music, and it wouldn't work. After that, the wifi on my watch kept shutting off and it's losing time.
So, from the radio silence, I can only assume that there's nothing to do to fix it. I really love Fitbit, but what am I suppose to do? I guess I'll look into a different brand.

Hi - I've been having the same problems with my Ionic which is almost 45 minutes behind and i can't get it to sync with my Samsung Note9. I think I lost the 45 minutes when the battery went dead. I've tried calling support and have done everything. Just won't sync and drives me nuts with the wrong time!
P.S. I just noticed that my wifi is off too. And the last time my Ionic synced was the day we left for vacation and I went off the wifi.

Yes! I really think this is an issue with the wifi on the watch, not the phone it is syncing to. From what I can see, many people have had this same issue.

When you go into the app, you have to click on the picture of your watch. Scroll down from there, and you should see an option for "Wi-Fi" settings. It will walk you through the setup for Wi-Fi. That's where I'm having the issue, though. It won't pick up my home Wi-Fi at all. Even when I try to manually enter my Wi-Fi, it won't work. I've made sure that my security settings are correct. I know that someone will come in and link me to the article on how to set up Wi-Fi, even though I have said NUMEROUS times that I have gone through all of the steps.
My Fitbit was able to sync a moment ago, which caught the time up. It's saying that the Wi-Fi is off, and that it can't detect Wi-Fi. Now, my iPhone can't find the Ionic...again.

I have had exactly the same problem as you describe and have tried all the suggestions made by Fitbit support. My problem started a week or two before your. I have the same issue with the ionic not showing the correct time - and all the connection problems you describe. I believe this is a fitbit app bug and that fitbit have no idea what is causing it or how to resolve it.
