Ionic lost steps

I just lost about 3-4000 steps. It’s my first day with my Ionic and I left the house this evening with 6k steps on the clock after a normal day of life with the watch on. I walked to dinner and back and should have had ~9-10k steps. Walked in the door at home and the watch read ~5k steps. My iphone reads 9800 steps. I went back downstairs, across the street, back home and before entering the apartment saw 5,450-ish steps. Walk in the door and it reads 5,137 steps. That’s twice it went backwards in steps in 20min. WiFi was not connected at this time. I did not do any syncing. The only thing I did was look at the watch and the steps were gone.

This watch took me a day to setup because it wouldn’t connect via Bluetooth to my iphone 7

It's great to have you here @Ginski! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned.  I'm sorry for the issue you experienced the first day of wearing it. I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't show on the watch but once users start syncing all the information will show on the Dashboard.

I would like you to check your account for this day and see how many steps you have for this day. Did you notice anything weird on your watch? Did you update it to the latest firmware version when you set it up?

As an alternative solution,  you may want to manually log an activity just as walking or running and this will give you the steps back.

Keep me posted.
