Ionic- no vibration with text messages

Having an issue getting a vibration alert when i receive a text message.  the text messages are there, but no vibrations.  When i get a phone call it vibrates, but just not with text messages.  I have an iPhone, I have restarted my device, restarted my phone, deleted the fitbit app, not sure what else to do! very frustrated. Can anyone help?

@JeannieNMU Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. 

I would like you to confirm that your notifications are set to "on" in the power tray: 

  1. If they are not set to "On", ask them to set it to On and try again.
  2. If they are set to "On", please perform basic notification troubleshooting steps
