Ionic not counting enough floors

I’ve called twice and chatted with support after my ionic was not counting any floors.  It is now counting some floors, but only about 1/3 of what I am actually doing.  I can understand a slight variance, but not one this large.  Each time I spoke with Customer service, I got a different response.  The first had me do a factory reset and told me “Maybe you aren’t climbing any floors” and just wanted to send me tips and tricks. The second had me do a factory reset.  It counted floors for a few days and stopped counting again.  I reset it again myself and now I’m getting some floors, but I hiked a local Mountain on Monday that I’ve hike a few times and ended up with 30 Floors compared to a previous hike in the same place and ended up with 93 floors.  So I chatted today and was given the runaround a third time.  Customer service is not very helpful and it seems as though they are just there to humor us.   I thought Fitbits were made to last more than a year, that’s why I bought it.
