Tracker isn't syncing at all I have gotten it to work temporarily (like a one off sync) but it just stops again and is also losing time local time at the moment is 10.43 and ionic is 06.13. I have a Samsung galaxy s7, I have tried restarting phone, watch, Bluetooth and also unpaired and paired them again but it solves the problem for no more then one sync and takes some time. Any suggestions? I have a care plan where I can get it replaced but I'd really rather not unless I have too.

Hey there @LloydE, it's nice to see you around the forums! Sorry to hear about the syncing inconveniences you've been having. Thanks for already troubleshooting this, nice way to go!
Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.
Depending your phone, these tips might make syncing easier:
If your Fitbit device still won't sync, try these steps:
Thanks for recommending the restart @SunsetRunner, this is really helpful in case like this one.

I had this same exact problem. my Ionic started losing time. the first day I was 12 minutes late for work since my alarm went off 12 minutes later.
it took FIVE customer service chats and multiple factory resets to get Fitbit to agree to send me a replacement.
even after they agreed to replace it I had to wait for my bad unit to arrive in their warehouse, wait another 3 days for them to confirm it was there and now wait for them to ship the new one. all told the replacement process took almost 3 weeks.
seriously thinking of selling the new one when it gets here and switching to Apple Watch.....
Fitbit's customer service used to be SO much better.

Ah that seriously sucks, it's going to sound stupid but I play that treasure trek game and I think I'm pretty far into it so if rather fix then replace and get that reset! Where is the customer service chat may be helpful for myself. Thanks for your input!

Did you find a solution. Mine is doing same thing and I have same phone. I have had it for 6 months or so and it just started not syncing and losing time.

Sorry bud I didn't, I did mention having 3 years instant replacement which I did have to utilize, currently on my third watch which is a bit annoying but seems to be holding up currently (Touch wood). replacing strap (I don't know how or why this would do anything), letting battery die and recharging fully have worked for other people I have spoken too.

I have done absolutely everything besides factory reset on my Ionic. I have done everything suggested twice or more and I still havent gotten anywhere.
I purchase mine in Oct 2018 so its not even a yr old. It does not keep time or even be recognized by the app anymore.
Please help!

I had the same issue with a Samsung S8.
I was able to reconnect by removing the watch from my fitbit profile then going into "Settings" on my phone. From there, select "Apps". Hit the three dots in the upper right hand corner and select "Show System Apps". Scroll down, find "Bluetooth" and select it. Hit "Force Stop". Confirm stop. Go to the "Storage" section. Hit "Clear cache" the hit "Clear data". Open the FitBit app and try to re-add the watch.
I was trying different things so I may be missing a step, but this is what I remember helped the most. Good luck.

Is this an issue with hardware? Seeing as how this problem is still occurring to this date.
I just got one of these as a gift. Brand new. I can follow what the moderator says and can get it to connect once. Then I can't get it to sync again. Tried on two different phones Huawei P20 Pro, and OnePlus 7T.
If I leave it alone it may sync once in 3 days. Every time I try to sync from the app to update the stats it will not sync. If I reset everything (phone and fitbit), it has a low percentage chance it works. The only way is I have to remove the watch from the app on my phone, and set it up once again. Then I can get ONE sync. Then it goes back to a non-syncing frustrating experience.
One difference is that I don't seem to lose the time on the watch.

I have had too many syncing problems over a span of more than a year. I have lost confidence in Fitbit.

The advice as to how to get the Ionic to synch was galactically unhelpful. I have tried all of these remedies, and none work. Whether or not the Ionic chooses to synch is entirely a matter of chance. Occasionally it does, often it simply won’t, no matter what you do.

I am very very disappointed with the Fitbit service
I have an Ionic looks nice on my wrist my friend would say nice watch But looks can be deceiving
I bought it for the technology but very disappointed
first the battery is so weak I hav to charge every 3 hours
then the sync every hour
i would never recommend Fitbit to anyone
I spent a little more and has bought an Apple Watch SE 6
