Ionic not counting steps properly

The other day, my ionic stopped counting my steps. All of a sudden it starts back and the counter doesn’t stop, even when I’m not moving. Last night I logged 20,000 steps in my sleep. Already today, I’ve done 20,000 steps before noon and I’ve been in a hammock most of the morning. Already done a hard reset a couple times. Also have done a factory reset. Only had watch a year and a half. Bought it new.

Had Ionic on charge all night last night since my battery ran down taking all of my imaginary steps yesterday. No steps were counted while it was laying still charging but once I disconnected the charging cable, it started counting steps before I even put it on. Already at 23,000 steps before noon and been at my desk at work all morning.
