My wife recently bought a New Fit Bit Ionic she is a avid horse rider and runner. having previously owned a Fit Bit Surge she liked the features and wanted an upgrade. Unfortunately she should have been put off by the poor build quality on the previous watch but she wasn't (The strap on the Surge peeled away). Fit Bit acknowledged the issues with the straps and replaced the first watch free of charge as they should do because the watch was not fit for purpose but when the second watch strap did exactly the same thing they didn't want to know. Because she liked the features on the Fit Bit this did not put her off and she ordered the New Ionic unfortunately the watch lasted less than 24 hours. During normal wear throughout the first day of her owning the watch and not during any form of exercise the watch has disappeared off her wrist. The straps on her Ionic are interchangeable and she had purchased a replacement strap for the watch but had not fitted it or attempted to do so. We can think of no explanation for the watch disappearing apart from the strap being faulty and coming off. She is obviously very upset at losing the watch after such a short amount of time and Fit Bit do not seem interested although they know about the issue as my wife is not alone in the watch falling off her wrist.

I'm not sure what to suggest here. But, in my experience of unboxing the Ionic, the straps were one of the first things I played with. Because FB provide two sizes I naturally wanted to check which one fit best.
Perhaps the straps were not clipped back in properly? You never know, the watch may turn up somewhere.
