Ionic not getting sleep info

I've been having sync issues and lack of notification issues as many people seem to be having.  Last night my Ionic sync-ed with my Iphone and my Ipad and I thought the issue was resolved.  Then this morning not only will it not sync or provide notifications of calls and texts but even on the Fitbit itself there is no sleep info.  Shall I assume this is part of the same problem or that my Ionic has stopped working?

It's getting more unusual all the time.  This afternoon at some point my sleep info from last night showed up on my Iphone and Ipad but still does not show on my Fitbit Ionic.  My Ionic shows my steps and other info except sleep info from last night.  My Iphone and Ipad now have my sleep info from last night but my steps are not updating, my Ionic says I have 7876 steps for the day, my Iphone and Ipad say I have 1369.  I don't get it.  My notifications of texts started coming in today again and I hope they continue but everything is so inconsistent that I have trouble trusting it.  Not sure what to do at this point...but it seems pretty clear to me now that I didn't need to order a new Iphone because it sure seems the problem is with the Fitbit Ionic software or something with Fitbit.

First thing that has to happen after waking is a successful sync. You will not see sleep, active hours, steps, current calories, etc on the app.

After a sync sleep should show up on the app, that is why sleep was seen later in the day, your tracker dud a sync with Fitbit.com. The app then went out to Fitbit.com to retrieve the data for display. After all if this happens. The app and the ionic still need to communicate so the app may send the sleep data back to the ionic so the user may review sleep on the wrist.

So it looks as if we still have a slight convocation problem.

On Android I normally would restart the tracker and phone but IOS and I are strangers

In the past I would get up in the morning and my sleep info would show on my phone within a few minutes and I could watch it updating on my Iphone.  In the last few weeks when I have attempted to sync the app in the morning it says "looking for device" then "no device found."  Therefore the sync is not successful.  However, I could see the sleep info on my Ionic.  Now as of yesterday it has been doing what I described above, sleep info not on my watch or the app and not sync-ing.  It seems to me it is a progressive sync-ing issue.  And it is an inconsistent one as some of the info, my sleep, showed up in the afternoon while other, my steps, never did.  Does it sound like I have a problem with my Ionic?  That is the conclusion I am reaching.

BTW, restarting the phone worked initially when this problem started then began to work only inconsistently.   I just restarted my Iphone and it did update.  However, I have needed to restart it on a daily basis and it also doesn't update on my Ipad.
