Since morning today, I had been unable to sync my fitbit ionic on my S6 edge +. I tried unpairing it using bluetooth settings on my phone, however, it would not show up in the available devices on my bluetooth menu. Tried checking it with some other phones (Huawie and iphone) but it would not show on the devices available for pairing.
I tried reset unsuccessfully. So tried factory reset, but now its giving error Data not cleared, sync and try again. As its not showing up for bluetooth connection on any phone, i am unable to sync. Please let me know as to how the error and bluetooth issue can be resolved.
P.S : My ionic has been working fine since the last 9 months. This is the first time i have faced this issue.

I have had the same issue as of yesterday (Friday) and my ionic that I got at Christmas has never done this before

I've had my Ionic for 2 phones. A Pixel 2 and LG V30. Both phones have fits with syncing. It wasn't any better with the Blaze before this. I really like my Ionic but I've had it. After 3 years I'm going to switch to a Garmin today and see if it's any better. Very frustrating I've reset and reset until my head spins.

Also on my Sony Xperia. Stopped updating with bluetooth. It also now shows the wrong time! Never had this issue until about two days ago.

Welcome on board @mc2018, it's nice to see you here! Which Sony Xperia do you have? Have you checked if it's included in the list of supported devices? If so, please see: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
On the other hand, if you find out that your Sony is not yet included in the supported devices. Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements.
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

I too have had a synching problem since May with both an LG V30 and my Windows 10 laptop. Not only would they not synch with the Ionic but they also would not download a system update.
Today, I tried to reset the Ionic and the watch became locked in www.fitbit.com/setup. Finally, I unpaired the Ionic from both the cellphone and the laptop. Now, neither sees the Ionic; ie no way to pair the Ionic again.
Any suggestions????
