New Ionic owner using Galaxy S8. The Ionic syncs with the Fitbit app on the phone, but fails to receive notifications. Per Fitbit Supported Devices, Ionic supports S8 notifications.
I have gone through the following:

My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone
I tried everything noted in each of the linked help articles. I have also searched these forums. Finally, I attempted to contact Fitbit via live chat. After waiting for 45 minutes for a Fitbit associate to respond, I gave up.
I would appreciate anyone's help with this.

I also have an S8 and the notifications work really well! Have you got 'Show on Lock Screen' enabled in your phone's Notificatiin Settings? Samsungs need this enabled to send notifications.

Thanks for your reply. 'Show on Lock Screen' was not set. I set that option, restarted both my watch and phone, and synced both once again. Still no notifications.

I'm having the exact same problem. I had to reset my S8 before Christmas (24/12/18) and ever since I reinstalled the Fitbit App, it doesnt send notifications. Strangely enough, syncing is fine! I got it temporarily to work by removing the Fitbit Bluetooth device (unpairing from my phone) and deleting the device on the app and re-adding. It works and then stops again! I've also followed the guides. I feel this maybe be a service not working or the S8 software has had and security update restricted or something. Help! - Also, this is marked as solved but isn't given the last response ?

I'm also having the same problem. I have just gone back through the settings again & may have found something....
Under "Settings" -> "Lock screen & security" -> "Other security settings" -> "Notification access". My "Fitbit Notification Services" was switched off.
I have just switched it on now. I'm hoping this will work as I have tried everything else!!

With the current version of software on the Samsung s8 where would I find this setting? I cant find it. Thank you.
