Ionic not receiving notifications

As title states, my fitbit ionic rarely ever receives notifications. 

I try turning off notifications, resetting my phone, then turning them back on. It won't last for more than 5 minutes before it tells me to restart my phone again. I've also tried resetting my fitbit itself, and again never fixes it properly.

 

Any advice or is this just a fitbit fault that isn't ever going to be fixed? Seems like a waste of money at the moment..

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Ionic. I would like you to confirm you've followed the tips mentioned on this article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone. Can you let me know which mobile device you're using?

Those fixes work for one or two notifications, but then it stops working again. 

 

I'm using a Huawei p20 pro
