Ionic not recording sensitive sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Ionic since April 2018.  It has always recorded sensitive sleep data until November 11th.  I have the same phone as I did when I purchase the watch.  Google Pixel 2XL.

- I cleaned my watch sensor.

- My Ionic software is up-to-date.

- I tightened my band, no change.  - I loosened my band, no change.

- I wore my watch on the inside of my wrist, and outside - no change.

- I have powered off and on my phone and my watch numerous times.

- I uninstalled the fitbit app on my phone, powered down and re-installed the app.

- I performed a factory reset on my watch.

- I signed in to the fitbit.com website and double checked that my sleep is set to "sensitive".

...Any ideas as to how I can get my watch to record sensitive sleep data?

@MMD247 Welcome back to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

I appreciate the time you took to share your experience in the forums. I would like you to provide me with more details about your watch not tracking your sensitive sleep, is your watch not tracking sleep stages? Is your Ionic not tracking all your movements at night?

If you're not receiving sleep stages, please check the following scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Keep me posted. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Thank you Silvia.  Yes, I have also read those troubleshooting scenarios you mentioned.  As I stated in my original post, I have tried different wrist positions, wearing the band loose, and tight and normal.  My sleep positions have not changed much since I first bought the ionic, when it was recording my sensitive sleep data properly.  I have made sure my ionic battery is not low, and I definitely sleep more than 3 hours.  Also, I have never used the "begin sleep now" option.

Is there somewhere I can send my watch in to be fixed?
