I have a Fitbit Ionic watch that I got as a gift from my wife two years ago. Today, I was trying to add a new clock face to my watch and was having download issues so believing the watch was having corruption issues, I decided to do a Factory Reset and start over. BIG MISTAKE!!! The watch is DOA (for non- first responders Dead on Arrival). A week prior my wife's watch (an Ionic as well) was dead. No amount of button pushing would revive both watches. As I review the community board, I see that I am not the only one with this issue. I got on the phone and spoke to the level one tech who stated she would forward up to the "warranty" department to review. Folks, I have been around the block a few days and note when a company issues updates to their firmware, you cannot blame the consumer for the product failing. FitBit shares an inherent responsibility for failures of their products when they push updates to their products. I requested that my complaint be forwarded to the upper corporate management, so we'll see.
