I purchased my Ionic in December 2018. It has worked continuously and perfectly until now. I generally run, walk and cycle and have no issues. I have also used the Ionic in the sea for shallow swimming.
I went in the sea for 20 minutes recently and after that the Ionic started buzzing periodically taking it to the short cuts menus and then the home screen. It lost charge very quickly.
I have cleaned the charging pins and changed the power outlet. I have tried restarts and resets but to no avail.
This is the 2nd Fitbit product that has died on me. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi @57Stratman, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. Since the restart process didn't resolve this issue, I recommend you to follow the next steps to perform a factory reset on your device:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
Let me know if the issue persists and if you have any additional questions.

I too have the exact same issue. No sign of life. I even put the watch in a bed of rice to try and absorb any moister that may have entered inside. Been swimming with mine for years with no issues.

Ricardo Fitbit
Ionic has now been on charge all night and has the Fitbit logo constantly on screen. I have taken it off charge and logo remains on screen, it disappears now and again and then re-appears.
Please advise of any different actions you recommend other than those already suggested in your initial response.
Thank you

My FitBit has been charging for days and is very warm. But, I never get the watch to wake up. This is my second Fitbit that has died after a couple of years of course after the warranty period. I think I am going to bite the bullet and buy an Apple watch.

Several days now and my Ionic sits there with the FItbit logo constantly displayed. Every time I hold down all three buttons it disappears, I let go of bottom right button and nothing happens. Several hours later logo reappears and back to this cycle of disappointment. There is no buzz, just a blank screen until the logo reappears.
I would be grateful for some help please.

I get the same symptoms as below. Called support. Blah blah blah blah. This really blows. The warranty ends and now I'm left holding the bag. Very disappointing. I've been a fitbit user for 6 years and it seems like they just want you to buy a new device every two years. This company had a loyal following and now they don't give a **ahem** so time to move on I guess.

I'm done with Fitbit. Deleted the app from my phone and bought the new Apple Watch Series 5. Very pricey but Costco pretty much had the watch $100 than Apple is selling it for...
