Sigh, I've gone through the whole list of usual things to get my ionic to sync. Rebooted the phone, restarted the tracker. Restarted bluetooth. Resintalled the app. Went out and bought a new phone. Sadly, they didn't have any of the limited choice of ancient devices that are all that are "officially supported". It's not like Fitbit is a modern company that just works like most bluetooth devices. It just randomly stops working and starts after a while. I guess I'll need to find a company that can keep it's products working and give up my old data.

Just "voted" for both these posts - not sure what good it will do but anyway. It seems every model is affected by the eventual failure to synchronise. Same goes for the Aria (first model anyway) - but I got a refund for that. As I have said elsewhere, this is a great shame as the intended functionality is unique. Even more of a shame is that it cannot be made to actually work as intended. That, and no acknowledgment from Fitbit that there is clearly an issue has put me right off getting another Fitbit Tracker (any of them) until there are reports of more consistent behaviour - or, more likely, fewer reports of lack of function.
