Ionic not syncing, factory reset error?

Two days ago my ionic stopped syncing with laptop and iphone.

 

bluetooth is working on both of laptop and phone when connecting with other devices, suggesting it is the ionic.

 

Reset phone and ionic on several occasions, switched off the phone's bluetooth, again on several occasions.

 

Decided to do a factory reset. The ionic has been blinking off and on with the fitbit logo for over an hour now. 10 seconds on, 2 seconds off.

 

Is this a normal factory reset screen or has my $500 watch just died after 3 months?

I had the same problem also since Wednesday, it didntdsync for over 24 hours,. I unpaired mine and it eventually worked. Now however, when it doesn't sync it is losing time. Eg right now, it is 08.47, watch says 08.42... I'm seriously frustrated with it right now...
