I had not synced my ionic to my Android for 10 days . When I try to sync it, the icons spins as though syncing, but nothing happens. I have to close the app to get it to stop. Any ideas how to get it to sync again?

I would try restarting your phone and then restarting your fitbit using this procedure:
If it still won't sync after that then there are some more ideas to try in this help file: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866/
Note that when you get it syncing again your data may look strange. Fitbits only have enough memory to store up a week's worth of data between syncs. After that it starts to hold the information at a daily total level rather than the normal minute by minute.
