Noticed the other day that my Ionic that I have had for a couple of years had stopped syncing for no reason. I unpaired this from my bluetooth and now the device is seen but will not pair. I tried all the tricks, shut down the Ionic, turned the bluetooth on and off, uninstalled the Fitbit app and reinstalled. Started to get fed up, so attempted a factory reset, removed the device from my account and went through the setup in the app. Asked for the four numbers and found the unit. Set up my WIFI and downloaded and started the set up. Ionic finished the set up showing a green tick, but the app was still spinning for installing. This finally failed saying the tracker had not updated. When I look in the bluetooth setting the Ionic is paired, but if I unpair the only way to re-pair is to factory reset and set up through the app. Now when I go into the app it tells me there is a tracker update, but I tried with both WIFI and bluetooth to update, but neither will find the Ionic. If I ignore the update and try to sync it does not allow. Watch works and has the basic set up, but cannot pair or sync any data collected. I have tried the factory reset three times now with the same result. I attempted to install with another phone, with the same outcome. Any further help be appreciated.

Hello @Mute_Banana, welcome to the Community Forums.
First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before posting over here, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.
Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I have been reading many threads regarding sync problems and this being a Fitbit App update that has caused this issue. What is the advise now, do i wait until this has been resolved and the App fixed? Is there ETA for the fix?
