Ionic not tracking Sleep data since May 22nd

The last sleep data I've gotten from my watch (Ionic) was Friday night registered as 22 May 2021, and the past weeks have all registered fine.  It just up and stopped getting any sleep data.

Watch is kept charged, so low battery is not the issue.

Sleep positions have not changed, nor has wrist on which it is worn.

I've unpaired from phone Bluetooth then resynced, and it is getting data like heart rate no problem.

I'm always a restless sleeper, and all the past records have shown those awake moments.

I've checked for software updates and see none (last updated 28 Apr 21).

The one quirk that did happen was insomnia on Saturday night.  I'm going through chemo and part of that was a steroid on Friday which has a known side effect at times of not being able to sleep.  (Notably, I also was given Benadryl that day, with a drowsiness side effect, and the approx. 2 hours of dozing off in the infusion chair were tracked and registered.)

So Saturday I lay in bed, probably tossed and turned some but refused to get up, and mentally never shut down.  No big deal when I got no sleep registered for then.  But Sunday I was exhausted, lay down around 4:30 pm, unsure if I slept or just lay there until around 10:30 pm, and again had no record of anything.  Got up to deal with some things, lay down again closer to midnight and off-and-on slept until around 6:30 am the next morning.  Still no sleep registered.

Last night I definitely fell asleep at some point, maybe 1 am to 8 am, but nothing is registered.  I can manually add the times I slept, but the useful data about REM, deep sleep, there's nothing.

This is the primary use I have for the watch, and it is frustrating to say the least.  Any other troubleshooting to recommend?

Hello @MicahFFX. Welcome to the community forums.

I'm very sorry for the situation you've been experiencing and thank you so much for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've followed.

At this time, I'd recommend trying to perform a restart to your Fitbit Ionic. For the restart, I recommend checking this help article for instructions:

How do I restart my Fitbit device?

In addition, please try to change the Sleep sensitivity setting to see if that refreshes the Sleep feature and the performance of your Fitbit Ionic. For example, if your sleep is now set to Normal, try to change it to Sensitive and test your Fitbit device.

To change your sleep sensitivity setting:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, then tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Advanced Settings > Sleep Sensitivity and make your changes. (Note it can vary depending on the model of your mobile device)

I also recommend visiting the following link for tips and suggestions about Sleep: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

On a side note, I've moved your post to the Ionic board to keep our forums organized.

Hope this helps.
