Hey there @JenniferlS, it's nice to have you in the forums! Are you still having the syncing issues with your Ionic? Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. So, verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.

  • The software on your iPhone is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your iPhone. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Your iPhone isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. For more information, see Is the Fitbit app for iOS interfering with other Bluetooth devices?
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it. Your device has a Bluetooth "bond" with the phone or tablet that sends the notifications. This bond prevents the Fitbit device from syncing with another phone, tablet, or computer.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your iPhone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it by following these steps.

On the other hand, if your tracker is not charging properly... Have you checked if the contacts on your tracker or charging cable are not dirty? Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Try cleaning them by following these instructions.

I wonder, where do you charge your tracker? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub

I'll be here, keep me in the loop! Smiley Very Happy

As far as the non tracking aspect goes, @JenniferlS, have you tried performing a restart? Sometimes mine doesn't track steps either and this usually works for me. It's simple....on the Ionic, hold down the left and bottom right buttons together for about 10 seconds then release it. You should feel a slight vibration and see the Fitbit logo appear....congrats, you have successfully restarted the device!

It’s seems your moderator Michael says there’s a fixed for the delayed sync. I walk several miles and it’s takes awhile before those steps even appear on the Ionic. I have not received any software updates other than when I first preordered and received the Ionic. I shouldn’t have to unpair and pair again a few times a week where it’ll work a day or so then back to same thing. I’ve worked with tech support three times and have been walked through every single step that I’ve done on my own. I’ve never had such as issue with another of the other FitBits. Tech supposed keeps telling me it’s a known issue and the engineers are working on it. At this point, it looks like I just need to how with another company’s fitness tracker.
