Ionic not tracking steps/HR and battery draining

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After downloading the new update 70.8.0 my Ionic has suspended counting steps and heart pulse.

Immediately after the download of the update the counting was crazy (Ionic on the table, but steps and heart pulse being measured). After a while it stopped working.

Furthermore the lenght of the battery has decreased drammatically.

@Nicodig A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the detailed information shared. I would like you to restart your Ionic and check if it starts tracking your steps and heart rate again. Is your Ionic not tracking your steps or are they inaccurate?

Regarding the issue you're experiencing with battery not lasting please follow these tips to extend the battery life of your watch.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi,
I did restart my Ionic many times but nothing happened. The tracking is off and I wonder how Fitbit May have such poor performance.

Dear All,
after weeks since my first request I have not yet received an effective response regarding the malfunctioning of my device.
Please be mindful that I am covered by consumer guarantee since I bought it in August 2019.
I urge you to provide the necessary assistance (no tracking for steps and heart pulse), otherwise to replace the device ASAP.
Best regards,

Nico Di Gabriele

My Fitbit ionic did exactly the same, but support told me it’s just one of those things and that because I’m out of warranty, they won’t replace it.

Shocking really.

Hi All,
I have not received any email (spam box checked). If you refer to past emails the recommendations therein laid down were ineffective.
This is the umpteenth time I write about malfunctioning of a product under guarantee and no solution is found by your Firm.
