I have cleaned the connectors and changed the charger and my ionic won’t turn on or charge. What can be done about this? Thank you.

Mine is officially toast as of yesterday - black screen of death. This was a replacement Ionic (first one was replaced due a bad battery). Actually had an OK run with this replacement watch -- that was until half the touch screen died a few months ago but I lived with it. But after dealing with a subpar product for a couple of years (endless hardware and software issues), I have thrown in the towel and took advantage of Prime Day today, and moved to Garmin. Farewell, Fitbit!

Ha, I'm out on Amazon Prime right now too looking at my options. A new Ionic can be had for $170...but am debating if I want to invest in another 18 month smartwatch/tracker or go in another direction. What are you looking at getting?

Got the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Black/Gunmetal for $149.99 today. Features seem very comparable to the Ionic. I really wanted to like the Ionic, but it was too buggy and unreliable.

You said you were going for a Garmin and that's the model I was looking at too. I like Garmin GPS for auto and aviation and have used them for years. Reviews for the Vivoactive 3 on Amazon aren't stellar though. Still, $20 less than the Ionic deal. My only reason for going Ionic again is that I'm familiar with how it works (or doesn't) and I have some different straps that obviously will only fit that watch case. I may order both and try them and see how they compare.

Same here. I just got a replacement about 3 months ago and mine is totally dead not charging this morning. Wouldn't even wear it swimming even though you can. Thought that was the problem with the last one. So frustrating, waste of money.😣

You got your Ionic fixed...or went out on Amazon Prime Day and got something else?

My ionic was not fixed. They wanted to give me a 50 percent off on a new one. Given the issues with this watch I decided to go with another brand. I went with the garmin instinct. I absolutely love it.

Considering I have had my Ionic for 19+ months and am well passed the warranty period so did not bother to even reach out to customer support. Having read multiple other posts on the community forum I knew the best I could hope for was 20% discount (surprised you were offered 50%) on a new device. It was serendipitous that my Ionic failed on Amazon Prime Day so I decided to order another Ionic for the low price of $170 since I have extra bands for it and am comfortable with how it functions (when it functions). But also decided to try a new Garmin Vivoactive 3 that was a 'Deal of the Day' at $149 on Amazon. I've used Garmin GPS units for autos and aviation and find them to be pretty solid devices. It will be interesting to compare the two. Enjoy your Garmin Instinct.

Goodbye Fitbit Ionic....bought a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music to replace the BRICK
@Scufforama wrote:Please can you advise on how to effect repair/replacement of my Fitbit Ionic. I woke up this morning and it was off, won't switch back on despite trying the steps recommended online by Fitbit community and this thread.
I wore it to bed last night, like every night, and it had about 70% power but woke up with it off and it won't turn back on.
It was purchased 14/08/2018 so under warranty with Fitbit.....please advise. Do I arrange this with local dealer I purchased devise from or via Fitbit directly? I'm South Africa based

Make sure you contact Fitbit through their beta testing website. You may have some luck getting resolution there where traditional fitbit support can't help you.
