Ionic not turning on

My grandmothers ionic will not turn on and dosent show any sings of life. It doesn't show any charging indication when connected to the charger and I've tried to turn it on by holding the left (back) button and the bottom right buttons as suggested in the restart support article but it won't turn on.

Hi @Zac03, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the Ionic's heart rate sensors are flashing or is the device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

Looking forward to your reply.

I had the same problem. I did the following and it booted up. While on the charger (charging), I held all 3 buttons down for about 5 to 10 seconds and it booted up. Give it a try and good luck.

It's completely unresponsive. The heart rate sensors are not flashing, nothing.

Thanks for your update @Zac03. Welcome to the Fitbit Forums @Vinrx7.

@Zac03 Since the troubleshooting steps from my previous post didn't work, please follow the next ones to perform a factory reset on your Ionic:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

@Vinrx7 Thanks for sharing your experience with us, I'm happy to know that you resolved the issue with your Ionic device and now you're back on track. I'll be around if you need assistance.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hello @RicardoFitbit,

I followed all the steps but my ionic is not responding the factory reset too.

My ionic has just stop suddenly and not opened again! 😞

What can I do more?

She tried that but it didn't work. The logo never appeared and there were no lights or vibrations.
