I had my Fitbit ionic today while swimming and after the screen went blank.... I have tried the factory button reset and also have tried to charge it to see if it would make a difference. Nothing has happened and the light at the back of the ionic hasn’t flashed since

Hi @PeadarD, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation.
Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be here.

Hi I have read the article and tried to charge it after drying but it has not worked, there seems to be water gone into the back the Fitbit.

Hi PeadarD,
I had a Versa that flooded after a surface swim. I was able to confirm water had entered the device by placing the watch face down on a plate in the oven. The oven temperature MUST NOT be greater than about 50 degrees Celsius - what ever that is in F. After approx. 30 minutes remove the warm - but not hot watch and if there is water inside there will be visible condensation in one or all windows on the back.
Careful not to cook the watch/electronics. But condensation will indicate its had it.
So sadly, cooking it is the least of your worries.

Hi Paul,
I would be afraid if i did that i would void any guarantee or anything i would get from fitbit, what usually happens i wonder if something like this happens? Do Fitbit replace the one that is broken due to it not actually being fully water resistant?
Kind regards
Peadar
