Ionic not working after update.

Ionic showed it need to be updated. Started update but watch got stuck halfway through update. Then got stuck on open screen. (Fitbit logo)  Customer Service had us try to turn the Ionic off then back on.  Watch was still stuck open screen.  Then had me try factory reset.  Ionic would not turn back on.   Customer Service said sorry you will have to buy a new watch. Very very unhappy.  Watch worked perfectly before update.  Now the want me to pay for a new watch.  After some time expressing my disappointment they offered a 25% discount off of retail price.   That is still more expensive then other current retailers. So no savings    I voiced my unhappiness and frustration and even spoke to a supervisor.  Was told Sorry best they would do is the 25% off.   So about $200.00.    Crazy!!  Not happy.  Based on numerous post and google search’s looks like this is a known problem  My family has been loyal Fitbit owners.  But if this is how they back their product and treat their customers we will have to look at other venders such as Garmin. Or Apple.   Very Very disappointed in Fitbit.  Sadly can no longer recommend to friends and family.

I appreciate your response, but having a watch working perfectly until doing an update that your company provided then it crashes is very upsetting, and apparently this happens quite  a bit based on other post and social media.   Fitbit should back their product.   Giving a 25 percent discount on the list price is a joke as just about everywhere sells it for that or less.  Looking at the warranty why is it only a year in the USA and two years in Europe.  Again I hope Fitbit changes their policy and or offers bigger discounts maybe pro rated for 5 years with 25 percent being the lowest especially when thing crash while installing their software etc.  For the price these watches should last a min of 5 years.
