About 2 weeks ago my iconic started having trouble taking a charge. I have to fiddle with the cord for a while before it will start charging. I've cleaned both the cord and the Iconic connections with electrical cleaner and a toothbrush.
At the same time it started rebooting itself randomly and the screen will go from normal illumination to very dim.
I've rebooted multiple times due to it not registering steps, or to make the screen brighter. The device sync's fine with my iPhone 7.
Over the weekend it started reading crazy high step counts (124,000 when I should have had about 24,000 on Sunday). Tuesday I had 158,000 and I spent most the day in meetings. I sat and just watched it go up 9-15 steps at a time ever few seconds.
Wednesday I noticed that there is a slight bulge in the back just to the left of the charge connection on the 2 button side, like the battery is swelling.
This morning I noticed a small band of the screen is no longer illuminating
Is the Iconic serviceable or is this going to the recycle bin?

Thanks for the response
Update from yesterday, I let the battery die last night and finally got it to start taking a charge. I woke up to run this morning at 4:50 and I already had 175k steps while I slept from midnight to that time. Currently it’s reading 222,840. I feel remarkably good for having done so much in less than 4 hours so far today! 😊
