Hi I have just done the recent update on my wifes fitbit ionic yesterday and now it will not switch on just a blank screen. After the update it was fine for a while and then it started getting lines through the screen and as I said today it will not switch on I've done all the hold the left and right buttons but still nothing ?

Join the club, this has been happening to countless people and fitbit refuses to take back their faulty products

If fitbit was a true help they would have their customers send back the Ionics and repaired at no cost because there was clearly an error in its production

I did the latest update for the ionic on Wednesday and all seemed fine, but today it just died, black screen, no flashing green light, at the last sync with my phone the battery was at 74%, now my phone can't locate it and it won't restart, dead, nothing. 😢

I contacted customer service via chat and within 5 minutes they agreed to send me a replacement.  I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones in the UK with the 2 year warranty which was due to expire Dec this year.  Fingers crossed the replacement works OK.

Yeah 2 year warranty with free replacement would've been nice !
Unfortunately ours usually just comes with free 1 year unless you upgrade
the warranty during the purchase. My wife purchased it for me and she didnt
expect this to happen. Regardless of warranty fitbit should still fix a
issue as widespread as this for free and not turn their backs on the
customers just because they didnt get the extended warranty
