Very disappointing. I did have a Surge and now have an Ionic. The vibration on the Ionic barely works. Can’t rely on it anymore because it isn’t strong enough to wake you. The Surge was great. To my surprise it is a common complaint in its reviews. Wish I had checked this first. Have been communicating with Fitbit and not once did they discuss that it is a common problem they sent several emails suggesting I may not have set it up properly. Never will I buy another Fitbit. I will look at Garmin next time.

G'day Stephen,
You may have tried this already but you can set the vibrations to "normal" or "strong" in the settings app on the Ionic.
Hope this helps.

I just got an Ionic and have a similar issue. I can barely feel the vibration and I've tried both normal and strong. They feel the same to me. Is there something wrong with my unit or is there not a noticeable difference between the settings. One of the main reasons I wear a smart watch is mostly so I don't miss notifications on my phone, if I can't feel the watch buzz, that defeats the purpose.
I hope there is a way to correct this as I love the watch other than this deficiency. Thanks

It's great to have you here @clockwork_robot! I would like you to restart your Ionic and try changing the vibration once again.
Keep me posted!

You mean Settings -> About -> Shutdown? Yes, I tried that already. I still can't tell the difference between the vibration modes. I got the Charge 3 at the same time to compare them, and I can't tell the difference between its vibration modes either. The vibration on the Charge 3 does feel a lot stronger to me than the Ionic in general. If I could get that response from the Ionic I'd be very happy.
