I have just noticed i could barely see my Ionic screen. I know the Settings menu has the Brightness setting so I cycled through the opions and Dim and Auto barely registers, Normal I am sure in pitch black would be OK, but Max is just about visible..I am guessing my Fitbit has developed a fault and needs a return?
I have performed a Shutdown and restart. I have also just kicked off a Factory Reset...Will see if that makes a difference and to rule out the obvious fixes.

Let us know because the restart would normally be the fix.
Will be interesting to hear your result.

Factory reset failed to make any difference to the screen brightness. Thinking its a hardware fault now so will contact support.

My colors were not as bold or bright and at times I was having vertical lines on my Ionic. Did the factory reset and not change. I will be receiving another Ionic. Just not really sure if I want the same thing if it doesn't even last a year. I have had this one for 10 months. Will always stick with the fitbit brand however.

Hey there @Andoi, @Farnes49 and @laurieh16. Thanks for the troubleshoot that you've tried and for letting me know that some of you have contacted Customer Support.
It's pretty weird that the brightness on your watch isn't changing correctly, just as some of you have mentioned the recommended troubleshoot would be to restart the Ionic and if it doesn't work then try a factory reset.
Hey there @Farnes49! I've shared your post with our team and they've mentioned, you already have a resolved case. Please continue the communication via email.
Thanks for your input @wmchapman!
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

@SamLee Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to report that you are also experiencing the same situation with your Ionic's screen brightness.
Have you tried restarting your watch already? This has helped other users in the past.
If this doesn't work then try a factory reset. This should also help you out with this.
Hope this helps. Try this out and let me know how it goes!

I have the same problem. I restart the watch and it's bright until the screen turns off, then back to having the same issue. No matter how many times I do it. What is wrong with it? 😞

Thank you for the update @Andoi!
Welcome to the Community forums @NatashaGoode, I'm sorry to see you've been having trouble with your Ionic's display.
Thank you for confirming that you already tried the restart, let me know if you've also performed the factory reset mentioned here. However, before considering other options, please try to adjust the brightness setting of the Ionic by going to the Settings app (gear icon) on the watch, the select Brightness and you should be able to see a few options there (auto, normal, max, or dim). Try to change it to max and let me know if you're still seeing the display a bit dim.
I hope this helps, keep me posted.

I'll try the factory restart next. The settings change and restart worked initially, be there now my watch loses lower. 70% to zero in a few hours.
I'm now having trouble turning it on. And it appears to not be charging. 😞

Hi Santi
Thanks for your advice, however, my watch proper borked itself. Went really hot and didn't turn on again. Took it back to JB HiFi per warranty and they replaced it no probs. Happy to have a working watch now. 🙂

@NatashaGoode Thanks for your reply and for sharing all of those details regarding the experience you have had with Ionic.
It's unfortunate to read that the previous unit went really hot. However, I'm really glad the retailer was able to replace it under warranty and that you are back on track now.
