Ionic screen won't turn off/tracking many steps

Hi all--I'm bumping this thread up as I am having the same problem. Have an Ionic and the screen wont' turn off and it tracks thousands of steps when not in use. Recently got a new phone and reinstalled the app and connected it to the phone and it's still happening. have tried adjusting the screen awake time, rebooting, etc. It is not near a fan or anything vibrating. it just seems to have stopped working properly. I am sure it is just past the warranty so it's really disappointing that this has happened.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!
