Ionic showing wrong resting heart rate

Lately, possibly after an update, my resting heart rate is always higher than my actual heart rate while at rest. So it will say 69 or 70 while I my actual heart rate is 10 or so beats lower. doesn't seem to change from day to day regardless of how low it actually is. Thinking fitbit is broken now too much stuffing around with the software has ruined the stats I was reliant on as its obvious that there are errors now.

@Chrism22 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

Resting heart rate can be an important indicator of your fitness level and overall cardiovascular health. In general, active people often have a lower resting heart rate because their heart muscle is in better condition and doesn’t need to work as hard to maintain a steady beat.

Thanks for the reply but my point is that my resting heart rate according
to my fit bit is generally much lower than indicated. I can be looking at
it when its says its 70 and heart rate will be up to 10 beats lower for
minutes at a time. I exercise regularly, just burned 800 cals in an hour, I
also use an exercise bike with heartrate and fitness levels which has gone
up another level today. Today the fitbit says its 69 resting. I also hate
the personalisation update, it just changed the zones display but I, of
course, still burn exactly the same cals so what was the point, Its just
harder to tell when I am at the right activity level. Altogether not that
happy with the device anymore as it is less helpful than when I first got
it.
