I have been a fitbit ionic users for a number of years. My experience with the ionic has been mostly favorable up until recently. My bluetooth headphones (and I have tried four of five different brands) will all connect to the ionic, but the sound quality is horrible. This was not a problem until June or July of this year. My earphones have always connected and music quality has been pretty good. After attempting every possible remedy for this problem I could find online, I contacted fitbit support back in July. The response was that our "team" is working on the problem. However, it appears many people having been having this same problem as far back as 2017. If you log onto fitbit.com you will notice the ionic is no longer even listed as a smartwatch for sale. Obviously fitbit has replaced the ionic with another model, even if they won't admit it. I fear that the support for the ionic will only get worse from this point forward. It's now October and I have called fitbit several times to check on the bluetooth quality issue. Support has been no help at all. It's always the same answer, "we're working on the problem." I believe if you own a fitbit ionic, it's time to invest in another brand of fitness smartwatch.

Hi @jrosser64, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience with us, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. Just as mentioned in your post, our Support team informed me that they already provided you assistance with this situation. That said, because I don't have access to the information they previously provided to assist you accordingly, I recommend you to contact them back if you require further assistance or if you have any additional questions about the outcome of your case.
I'll be here if you need anything else.

Have just purchased an Ionic today, all was setting up well until I played music back through my speaker. As mentioned above, crackling and plays back at 1.5X speed. Sounds like I have installed the Chipmunks playlist!
I have yet to purchase wireless headphones so I am hoping this wont happen with them. The whole reason i bought this was for tracking runs and listening to music.
Is there a fix for this? As mentioned above the only posts I could find were 3 years old.
