Ionic step count accuracy concern with Strava

Hi, I have done over 10,000 steps today and had the buzz and the colours on my watch. However, on my last sync it has taken them down to just over 8,000 on both the watch and app. Not happy! Can this be rectified?

This seems to be as a result of a tracking error on strava. I had tracked a walk on strava on my phone this morning and this didn't track the route and therefore the distance accurately (I walked in a straight-line over houses and a rugby pitch apparently). My watch obviously picked up my steps as I walked and when the two have synced later today it would appear that  fitbit has adjusted the steps down to reflect the distance on strava. Still annoyed though 😝
